PURCHASE

As a company trading in gemstones and jewellery, EDIGEM is interested in buying jewellery from private vendors. Although we are happy to advise on any item, we are neither willing nor able to buy everything we are shown. Items are selected based on their resale potential. If we are willing to purchase an item we will offer at least the current market value of the materials. Specialist pieces such as original antique or particularly fine examples of jewellery, or pieces signed by well known houses or designers may command premium prices. We offer trade prices on gemstones. Offers of purchase are verbal and free of charge and valid for a limited period only. A written market valuation can be issued subject to a fee. Commission
If a purchase price cannot be agreed with EDIGEM, pieces can be entrusted to us on a sale or return basis. Subject to the agreement between EDIGEM and the vendor on a realistic reserve sale price, we would include the item in our inventory and try to sell it on the vendors behalf. Items placed with us are covered by our insurance against damage or loss.
